Kaitlin and Tyler’s story began in the most unexpected (and slightly hilarious) way — at a Taziki’s at the University of Alabama, where they were both students. What was supposed to be a normal dinner turned into a funny mix-up when they accidentally got each other’s orders. Tyler joked, “I’m allergic to fruit!”… Then, after swapping meals, they enjoyed dinner together and the rest was history. A playful start to something truly special. From there, something just clicked. Kaitlin was immediately drawn to Tyler’s bright, warm personality. He has a way of making people feel completely at ease, and somehow, he always knows just what Kaitlin needs — even when she can’t put it into words. Being around him simply makes her heart feel happy, and for that, she couldn't be more thankful. His kindness isn’t just in what he does, but in who he is. His humor stood out right away, and over time, his laughter would help carry her through some difficult times. Tyler, meanwhile, was captivated by Kaitlin from the moment they met. He couldn’t explain it, but he knew one thing for certain: he never wanted the night to end. From the very beginning, he felt comfortable enough to be fully himself around her — something rare and meaningful. Even now, Kaitlin continues to bring structure and calm into his life, always keeping him grounded, organized, and focused in the ways he needs most. Their relationship quickly blossomed with thoughtful gestures, spontaneous laughter, and a healthy dose of competition — especially on their bowling dates, where both of their competitive spirits shined. Kaitlin became a rock for Tyler during stressful times, offering both comfort and strength. And during that first summer break between semesters, Tyler knew without a doubt that Kaitlin was the one he wanted by his side forever. One unforgettable night, during a movie at home, Tyler suddenly broke out in hives — seemingly out of nowhere. Kaitlin, then in nursing school, should have been calm and composed… but instead, she totally panicked. They rushed to CVS for Benadryl, laughing nervously the whole way. Tyler missed hockey practice, but the memory (chaotic as it was) became one of many that brought them closer. As their lives evolved, so did the challenges. With Tyler starting his career in Huntsville and Kaitlin in Birmingham building her nursing career and working toward her nurse practitioner degree at UAB, they were long-distance for a time. It wasn’t always easy, but they made it work — through FaceTimes, weekend road trips, and a love that only grew stronger with every mile apart. And if you ask them what some of their favorite memories together are, you might be surprised: escape rooms. Yes, seriously. On their first couple’s trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee, they played six escape games in one night. While the mountains, hiking, and adventures were beautiful, it was the teamwork, problem-solving, and laughter in those rooms that made the trip unforgettable. Tyler’s proposal was a perfect mix of thoughtful planning and genuine nerves — just like their relationship. It all started during Christmas of 2023, when Tyler gave Kaitlin a promise ring. But really, that ring was his clever way of getting Kaitlin into a jewelry store so he could secretly learn her ring size and see what styles she liked. Over the next year and a half, Tyler quietly saved up for their future together. Fast forward to June 2025: the big moment. When they first started dating, Kaitlin had mentioned how beautiful the Botanical Gardens were — and how it would be a perfect spot for an engagement. Tyler took that to heart and planned a proposal in a quiet, secluded gazebo at the gardens, setting the scene just right. Everything was going smoothly… until Tyler got so nervous that he completely forgot what he wanted to say. With a laugh and a sheepish grin, he admitted, “Honey, I forgot all of my lines.” Honestly, it was perfectly them — a little awkward, totally heartfelt, and completely full of love. That day, surrounded by the beauty of the gardens and the warmth of their connection, Tyler asked Kaitlin to be his forever. And she said yes — because she already knew. Now, after years of balancing school, careers, and distance, Kaitlin and Tyler are finally closing the gap. Tyler is moving to Birmingham to begin his new career as a business analyst — and they’re so excited to be in the same city, building a life together side by side. From mistaken orders to bowling nights, mystery hives to late-night pharmacy runs, six escape rooms in a row to long-distance love — their story has been anything but ordinary. But it’s theirs. And it’s just the beginning. They’re each other’s person — forever and always.

My Mom is my rock, my unwavering support, and the person who has always fought for me, no matter the odds. Her infectious laugh is a burst of joy that lights up every room. Her genuine nature leaves a lasting impression on everyone she meets. Whenever life throws us our own challenges, when we work together, we conquer all. We share a bond that is so incredibly deep, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Mom- when you see this- I want to say "thank you" for always being my shield. I can only hope to be half the person you are as Tyler and I grow in our relationship and build a family. I'm blessed to have you as my Matron of Honor.

Lyn is also my niece. Her soft‑spoken manner and observant nature bring a calm, thoughtful energy to every room. Her joyful spirit never fails to shine through whenever we're together. At just 16, she brings a playful goofiness and always has a grin on her face that can turn an ordinary moment into something special. What surprises me most is how mature and thoughtful she is; she strikes the perfect balance of being young at heart and wise beyond her years. I’m so happy to have her stand with me on this wedding day. Her bright energy and sweet smile add a special sparkle to our celebration.

I met Erin about one year ago in nurse practitioner school, and we’ve been study partners (and cheerleaders) ever since—through three intense semesters and countless FaceTime calls from Louisiana to here. Her kindness, humor, and constant encouragement make her an incredible best friend. Erin has a way of bringing calm to chaos and laughter to even the most stressful days. She's the type of friend who shows up with her whole heart, and I’m so lucky to have her by my side—not just on this special day, but in life's many adventures ahead.

Mckenzie and I met six months ago working on the cardiac intensive care unit, and it didn’t take long to realize we’re two peas in a pod. She’s wild, sarcastic, and always has my back—plus, her hilarious sense of humor keeps me on my toes and makes long, difficult shifts just a little more bearable. Whether we're navigating the chaos of the ICU or sharing a laugh over dinner, Mckenzie brings a lightness and joy that make even the toughest days brighter. I’m so fortunate to have a partner-in-crime like her standing next to me on this incredibly special day.

Carlee is my cousin, and even though we haven’t always lived close or seen each other often, we’ve always shared a special bond. We have shared countless core childhood memories, from playing in the woods and riding on our grandparents' play motorcycle to having sleepovers at our grandparents' house. We’re so alike in the way we think—it’s like we just "get" each other. She’s funny, full of joy, and always has a smile on her face. I admire her so much for the strength and grace she’s shown as she begins her beautiful journey into motherhood and married life. I’m so grateful to have her with me on this special day.
